Job Description
Henderson House Care Home, located in the popular coastal town of Dalgety Bay, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia and Respite Care for up to 60 residents.
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our friendly and professional team. In this vital role, you will lead by example and support our care team to deliver the highest standard of person-centred care. You will ensure residents receive compassionate, safe and dignified support while fostering a warm, inclusive and positive atmosphere throughout the home.

- 38.5 hours per week

What You Will Do
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will take responsibility for leading shifts, supporting colleagues and ensuring the care team delivers exceptional care to every resident. You will administer medication safely and accurately, create and maintain detailed care plans, and ensure high standards of documentation and communication across the team. You will promote independence, dignity and well-being for all residents, while working closely with nurses, management and families to ensure a consistently high level of care and support.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum SVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care, ideally working towards or holding SVQ Level 3.
- Practical medication administration experience with up-to-date competencies.
- Previous experience supervising or leading a care team within a care environment.
- Confident in creating and maintaining person-centred care plans.
- A kind, compassionate and professional approach with a genuine passion for caring for others.
